Tropical Storm Debby Leaves a Trail of Memes in Her Wake
by Nitsa DeVore
Recently, Florida was struck by a Tropical Storm named Debby. Originally slated to hit Texas, Missippi and then Lousianna, Debby opted to pay Florida a little visit and it rained here for days. In an effort to keep our spirits up while we were stuck inside indefinitely, Floridians traded Debby-memes on Facebook like Pogs on a playground back in 1992. While we were under constant threat of tornadoes, floods, sinkholes and alligators, we found joy in poking fun at what was happening around us. Here are a few memes that gave the staff at BallywhoSocial a good case of the giggles.
Tropical Storm Debby, thanks for the laughs.
Though we had a few good chuckles, keep in mind that tropical storms and hurricanes can be very dangerous and should be taken serious in terms of safety and preparedness.
